[Mediawiki-l] Error 404 after installation

Hi everyone,

I followed the installation instructions, finishing with moving  
LocalSettings.php into the right place. Strangely enough, I'm now  
getting error 404 when I try to view the wiki, even when I go  
directly to index.php. It looks like others have had this issue:

However, I couldn't find any mediawiki.conf to alter, which was the  
solution given there. Any ideas?
