[Mediawiki-l] $wgDefaultUserOptions - array of namespaces which should be searched?

Is it possible to define in $wgDefaultUserOptions an array of namespaces 
that should be searched (like in $wgNamespacesToBeSearchedDefault) by 
every group?

It seams to me, that $wgNamespacesToBeSearchedDefault has only effect to 
anon users und login users in my Mediawiki - but not to the group of 
admin etc.?! (Mediawiki1.8.2)
