[Mediawiki-l] IIS > Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=2

Hi MediaWiki List,
Firstly, very excited to find a brains trust that may be able to  
assist solving a mind boggling problem.

We are attempting to set up MediaWiki on IIS @ Quadra Hosting.

All goes well until on the "Checking environment..." page of the  
"MediaWiki 1.6.5 Installation" under the "Generating configuration  
file..." section the error:

 ># Database type: mysql
 >
 >Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=2 in E: 
\hshome\hotbanan\sos.hotbanana.org\wiki\includes\Utf8Case.php on line  
1302
 >
 >Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in E:\hshome\hotbanan 
\sos.hotbanana.org\wiki\includes\Utf8Case.php on line 1302

I have had a post here:

for several weeks now but no ideas yet.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
