It's just you're browser - it's a very large javascript trying to
execute; and some inferior browsers will freeze or at least appear
frozen for rather long periods of time when you try to execute it.
Try FireFox.
Another solution is to type you're query somewhere else then copy-
paste it in - when you begin to type 'delete' for instance, after
hitting the 'd' it immediately starts searching for all messages with
'd' in their name, then 'de' then 'del' and so on, and the first
two
or three letters usually return a huge number of messages which slows
down the apparent return time of you're query a lot.
