[Mediawiki-l] WikiForum

I have been trying to round up information on any extensions or hacks  
that extend the discussion features of mediawiki. Apparently there  
was talk about the WikiForum extension last year ( http:// 
meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/WikiForum ) and possibly some testing of it  
on the french Wikipedia site ( http://mail.wikipedia.org/pipermail/ 
wikitech-l/2005-February/thread.html#27692 ), but the page seems to  
have been abandoned now.

Can anyone point me towards any continuing work on this extension or  
any current related work?
