[Mediawiki-l] Problems with installation

Hi,

I am trying to install MediaWiki 1.6.5 on my linux server. All goes well upp until the creation of tables in the database (mysql). I 
tried letting the installation script create the database and also manually create the database - but the same result -stopping with 
this error message:

"TYPE=InnoDB
" failed with error code "Specified key was too long. Max key length is 500 (localhost)".

Can anyone help?
