[Mediawiki-l] WikiSysop Mail set to root at localhost??

Hello,
 
My WikiSysop mail won't confirm my e-mail  address. The config.php set 
root at localhost for my  WikiSysop e-mail. It appeared I was able to change it during 
set  up, but was afraid to because it said the address was used for password  
reminders, default sender address e-mail notifications etc.
 
Do I simply add whatever e-mail address I want in the  Localsettings.php

$wgEmergencyContact = "root at localhost";
$wgPasswordSender =  root at localhost;

And then re-load it? I was able to setup a WikiTech  e-mail account from the 
same computer, it verified and works  ok.
