I don't know such extension but it should be quite easy to create one, which
write an iframe (not so good but the only way to view a pdf in a frame-like
window) which "source" or "href" is the PDF...
Note that depending on user's acrobat config and browser, it could leave a
blank iframe and open the document in a Acrobat Reader window, or it could
display the pdf using acrobat activeX in the iframe.
