I once did this for a wiki I maintain. The solution for 1.5.x and 1.6.x is
slightly different. In 1.5.x, you have to hack a file in the source
distrib. In 1.6.x, you should be able to create a SkinTemplateTabs hook
(see includes/SkinTemplate.php) to make the View Source tab visible. In the
hook, just check to see if $wgUser is not anonymous and react accordingly.

Hello,
on my own wiki anonymous users are dissallowed to edit pages. However, I
want them to be able to view the source of any page.
The FAQ says this:
Question: I want anonymous users to be able to view the wiki source on
any page, without giving editing access. Is this possible?
But doesn't give any answer to that question. I now googled and looked at
LocalSettings.php, but I can't see how I achive that effect.
Since it works on
wikipedia.org, it must be possible. Does anybody know
how?
Best wishes,
Tels
