[Mediawiki-l] Issues with Internet explorer on different subnets??

We have an implementation of MediaWiki that is exhibiting periodic failures when people from  certain subnets attempt to access wiki content via Internet Explorer.  The problem is usually confined to IE (versions 5 and 6), and the problem is typically limited to only one of the subnets at a time.

Any notions of what might be happening here?
