Hi,
I need to re-setup a wiki I use for (this years) high school class. I
need to:
* delete existing users (they have graduated)
* archive their my_pages (optional)
* rename some pages, get rid of some others
It seems I can delete users by deleting user records in mysql.(using
phpmyadmin) Can I do the same
for articles I no longer need? It would be nice to go down a list of
page titles and check off the ones I want to delete. It seems that page
titles are in one file but the content is somewhere else.
Is there a query tool that would allow me to delete page titles and
related blob content/data?
1. Regarding the deletion of users, please read the archives for this
mailing list
2. Bulk deletion of pages and content can be achieved using the
nukePage maintenance script, though at this time, you will also need
to run refreshLinks afterwards
One immediate thought I have is that it would be quicker to archive
the entire wiki and set up a new database for the upcoming class.
