[Mediawiki-l] Unstable user session

I have WikiMedia 1.7 set up on a server, and everything seems to be running
fine expect the login.

 

For some reason, my users can login, but they do not remain logged in.  If
they move to any page after the login acknowledgement page, they are logged
out and their IP is displayed instead.

 

Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I can do to fix it?
