At the end of the day, we're only talking about a handful of wikitext
markup - '''bolding''', ''italicising'', [[Links]] and [[Ugly
link|piped links]]. I believe MediaWiki 1.7 "ships" with some of the
Help; namespace content from mediawiki.org,; correct me if I'm wrong.
