[Mediawiki-l] Mediawiki 1.7.1: which version of Apache & PHP should be used?

FYI:  I found a mitigation plan for dealing with Apache Server hangs -- stop
Windows from reporting the crash through a popup dialog that *requires* user
intervention. 
 
My Computer --> Properties --> Advanced --> Error Reporting:
1) Disable Error Reporting
2) Uncheck "But notify me when critical errors occur"
 
Using this configuration, the Apache Server restarts unattended.
 
Until somebody fixes this bug.

PS: I still get tons of errors in my Apache Log, very random "pattern".

Which version of Apache & PHP should be used in order to have a stable
Mediawiki 1.7.1 install on Windows XP?
 
I have looked at the installation procedure on Mediawiki.org but somehow I
am still having Apache error code 20024 + crash because of an error in one
of PHP5 module.
 
So, what are you folks using??
