We can edit and preview too while logged in. But we can't do anything
else while logged in, no edits are saved, no pages can be moved/deleted,
etc.

As a result everyone is using the wiki anonymously with limited rights.

So, does anybody know how to get rid of that troublesome message?

Do one of the following:
1) Disable 'edit before preview' in your user prefs
2) Upgrade to 1.7
3) Backport the fix from 1.7
4) Just ignore it ;)

  1. I don't have that in my user preferences; this is what I do have on the
editing tab that seems relevant:
  - X	show preview on first edit
  - X	show preview before edit box

... which seem to imply "edit before preview", yes?

2. Maybe when we get the programmer time. We just upgraded to 1.6.7.

3. See above.

4. :-p~~~~~ (BBBPPPPTTTTT!)

Any other ideas, anyone?
