[Mediawiki-l] Filtering content on a wiki page

I have a article on my wiki where I would like to be able to provide
controls to a read to filter content on the page.

To be more exact, it's a calender of events but spread across several
countries. Some readers will only be interested in one country and I'd
like to be able to add a simple control to hide the others.
(http://irishgamingwiki.com/wiki/Convention_Calender for those really
interested).

Is this doable in a MediaWiki way?
