MediaWiki does not support Microsoft SQL Server.

Make sure your PHP distribution includes the MySQL extension, and if
necessary enable it in php.ini. Please see the installation instructions
for PHP.

Try the .ZIP instead of the installer; last I checked they claimed the
installer didn't include any extensions, which makes it pretty useless.
