[Mediawiki-l] Float table of contens?

Doesn't work for me.  I see:

float: right; padding: .5em
0 .8em 1.4em; background: none;"
  Table of contents [hide]  
1 News
2 Mission
 2.1 Strategy Statement
 2.2 Protocols
 2.3 Guidelines
 2.4 Training
 2.5 CAD Group
 2.6 Useful Links

at the head of my page, and the table steadfastly stuck to the left-hand edge.

Any (relevant) suggestions ?

This piece of wiki-markup and css basically floats the TOC to the right :

{| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="clear:right; margin-bottom: .5em;
float: right; padding: .5em 0 .8em 1.4em; background: none;"

Put this in a template, and call the template from the pages where you need
the floating TOC. It can quite easily be modified to float the TOC to the
left, (or alternatively, to accept variables to it to do the trick)
