Yes Simon, it is writable (777) and addition to the tmp directory.

Subject: Re: [Mediawiki-l] Compiling texvc
Thanks, I got it installed, and the the compilation went fine,
However, I ran the example:
texvc /home/wiki/tmp /home/wiki/math "y=x+2" iso-8859-1
And it is producing the PNG image with the formula perfectly, but, the
Mediawiki is giving me the following:
*Failed to parse (Can't write to or create math output directory):
y=x+2*
Keeping in mind that have adjusted the LocalSettings.php file with:
*$wgUseTeX
= true;*
Thanks again for your positive response.

it gives me the following, without compiling

ocamlopt -c util.ml <http://util.ml/> <http://util.ml> <http://util.ml

Assembler error, input left in file /tmp/camlasm69e54a.s
make: *** [util.cmx] Error 2
Is there any solution for this problem?
Looks like you're missing the assembler, which is needed to compile;
this is probably in the 'binutils' package.
