[Mediawiki-l] localization

Hi everyone,

I've just noticed that the file LanguagePt.php has all localization for
Portuguese language. However, if I access http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/, as
instance, I find a more accurate localization than the one which comes with
mediawiki 1.5.2.

This is my inquiry: Is there some place where someone tries to keep those
Language**.php files up to date? If not, I guess the best shot would be to
contact those folks in http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/ and ask graciously if
they would lend to me their LanguagePt.php file, right? Any clue?

When you get a chance, you could help me with this other question: where I
could download the most recent locale for a specific language as instance
Brazilian Portuguese and how I would up load it to my mediawiki site.

You can set one default language and allow users to select individual
languges (among those you have made available in the languages
folder). The default language is set in LocalSettings.php. After
changing the language value, run the rebuildMessages.php maintenance
script to update the system messages from the database.

information about the directive involved, and
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Configuration_settings#Localization
lists the functions related to Localization. Search seems to be broken
on MediaWiki.org right now, so I can't actually locate the
"walkthroughs" for localisation, but I know they're somewhere...
