[Mediawiki-l] writing extesions.

Hello,
	can I create my own tags for my extesion, and i can overwrite the
	mediawiki tags (and others extesions' tags)?... For example: 
	<mytag>
		<nowiki>fsdkfjldskf</nowki>»
	</mytag>
	Will mediawiki's parser care about the tag <nowiki>?
