[Mediawiki-l] png file upload

Hi,
I have mediawiki 1.5.3 on Fedora 4.

I was able to upload gif file.
But when I tried to upload png file, I was given error
such as
corrupted file or extension is wrong.

I did not change the $wgFileExtensions in the
DefaultSetting.php

Any suggestion?
