[Mediawiki-l] Are 1.4.0 search problems fixed in more-recent versions?

Are 1.4.0 search problems fixed in more-recent versions?

eg, On my 1.4.0 site, a search for "release" several title matches...except 
for the title of "Release_1.0_spec", possibly the most-important wiki page 
on my system.

I've been through a thread before with this, and maybe there are several 
things that one can go off and check and fix.  I just wonder: is it 
possible to make this search "bulletproof" such that one does not have to 
"check and fix" things in the background database?

Apache 2.0.52
php 4.3.9
mysql 4.0.21
MW 1.4.0
