On a related note, I found a bug with GD with it's alpha handling. I
had a particular PNG that had 24-bit + Alpha color. MediaWiki+GD2
either (depending on whether or not MW was hacked):
- Down-graded the color to shades of yellow and kept alpha
- Kept the color and lost alpha
