I've had the same problem with my users; they're unfamiliar with the
wiki concept, and while they're starting to understand the problem of
orphaned pages they haven't quite made the connection yet.
I've basically done as Rowan suggested, but in addition I commented out
the 'Search' button from the main page template since the results page
doesn't trigger the nogotext message. On default installs 'Go' does a
full text search anyway, so I consider removing the 'Search' button a
simplification with few side-effects.
