[Mediawiki-l] Protecting a section of a page?

Is it possible to protect a single section of a page?

If not, is it possible to somehow display a page within another page?

For instance, I would like my front page to be protected.  But I would like to 
have an editable section on that page?  Could I display the contents of an 
editable page in a section of my front page.
