[Mediawiki-l] getting warning message

Hi all:

My MediaWiki version is below:

    MediaWiki :1.3.0beta3 
    PHP       : 4.2.2 (apache2filter) 
    MySQL     : 3.23.58

My problem:

When I search for a term, and Mediawiki does not find anything, I
get this warning message:

Warning: Wrong datatype for second argument in call to in_array in
/path/to/FullTextStopList.php on line 588.

Is it due to MySQL version, or is there a workaround?
