[Mediawiki-l] upload trouble

During a upload of a PDF file, I get:

The file you uploaded seems to be empty.  This might be due to a typo in
the file name.  Please, check whether you really want to upload this
file.

The file size is 6600584 bytes.  I made sure that the file name was
typed in correctly.  Another user is having a similar trouble with some
tgz files.
