Hello,

iirc microsoft fixed a security issues with attachments by disallowing 
user to open them. You have to save them on your hard disk and open from 
there. That's a lame choice though.

A possible way to fix it is to use a real email client. I personally 
owned a license for The-Bat:

I am now using Thunderbird:
    http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/


Really you should stop using OE as soon as possible, it's not even able 
to quote messages correctly.
