[Mediawiki-i18n] Need help regarding rendering of IPA characters

This is not MediaZilla, it is Bugzilla test installation using 'current dev'
and is supposed to be used for i18n, BiDi, UTF-8 etc. issues. Be welcome to
sign in there else you can comment here.

The problem I am working is:
Identify the best suitable fonts to display IPA characters in as much
environments (operating systems and browsers versions *and* configurations) to
represent these characters correctly.

Help page:
http://yi.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=template_talk:style/IPA
should show the characters in the font-families specified in parameter
'font-family'.

If you can not see IPA at all just post a comment. Thank you for all your
efforts in advance.

I suppose that many Wikipedians and web enthuziasts have worked on similar
issues before. Please do not hezitate to add some references (url's) to
appropriate pages.

which can both accept IPA input and generate IPA output.
