<div dir="ltr">Hello Bryan and fellow Tool Labs users,<div><br></div><div>Thanks for this. Sorry if the question sounds obvious for most of you, but as beginner in this, I sometimes have doubts.</div><div><br></div><div>I run a bot cronned on Tool Labs and I'm using a syntax like "jsub -N jobname -l release=trusty (...)". Should I continue to add that "-l release=trusty" on the cron and the jobs I submit to the grid?</div><div><br></div><div>You also mention jsub. I wonder that jobs with jstart are also affected and thus the same -l release=trusty ain't needed anymore?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks in advance for your answers.</div><div><br></div><div>Best regards, M.</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">2016-10-26 18:59 GMT+02:00 Bryan Davis <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:bd808@wikimedia.org" target="_blank">bd808@wikimedia.org</a>></span>:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex">On 2016-10-03 I warned that the default target operating system for<br>
jobs submitted to the Tool Labs grid would change from Precise to<br>

If you have problems with cron jobs or other grid jobs submitted with<br>
jsub, please take a look at the Precise deprecation notes on Wikitech<br>
[1]. Ideally you should try to fix your jobs to work on Trusty, but if<br>
you need a bit more time there are instructions there for pinning your<br>
job submissions to the remaining Precise hosts.<br>
