In fact, just a few hours ago I asked whether
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T111512 (Edit Count tool on labs shows
text in wrong language) would be a good candidate for Google Code-in, and
it is a clone of a X tools bug report (
https://github.com/x-Tools/xtools/issues/60).

GCi students can get a lot of good quality work done, but mentors are
needed to propose and evaluate tasks.
