[Labs-l] Query takes forever on labsdb

[Golden Ring]

Is the reason that ordinary users can't EXPLAIN most queries in the
replicas that it requires the SELECT privilege on the underlying tables,
and this is withheld for privacy reasons (the view NULLs out the password,
email, options, token etc)?
