Apologies for the delay in responding -- I see gluster working properly 
for other projects (and for /home in dumps) so I think this was a 
localized problem.  I've kickstarted the volume for 'dumps' so you 
should be back in business -- please let me know if this problem crops 
up again or if anyone else is seeing it.
