Sorry, I forgot you were its maintainer; I'd have given you more details
outright.  :-)

The code ends up being stuck in a poll() system call, so it's not
immediately clear whether it's waiting on the DB or holding the HTTP
connection open.

My understanding is that this provides an RSS feed of some kind?  Is it
possible that the /clients/ are holding the connection open indefinitely
while they wait for content?
