I absolutely agree.

There were some Wikimedians at the Mozilla Drumbeat conference last fall
where there was a hackathon on the beginnings of this badge system. It's
great to see that it's really maturing into something workable.

I just created a Badges page on Meta to brainstorm about how and why we
might create badges that follow this protocol, as well as what badges we
could create for Wikimedians. Please be bold. :-)
