[Foundation-l] Wikimania 2011 video on Commons?

Is it actually a good idea to upload such big videos to Commons? Have
the problems with buffering/downscaling or whatever been solved so
that people can actually watch such videos without downloading them?
This might be considered less of a problem because they'll also be on
YouTube, but it would be nice to have usable videos on wiki, while the
big ones can easily be uploaded to archive.org.
