Trademark, not copyright - and it's damaging because it can lead to other
organizations getting away with looking like they're part of the project.

That art project is primarily merely annoying.  Other protential infringers
doing the same thing (making it look like they might be part of Wikipedia)
could be more malign.  More malign potential examples abound ("Click here to
vandalize the encyclopedia!").

We (Jimmy, the community, etc) created the Foundation to protect the
Wikipedia project (and other projects) from malign external influences in
the financial, legal, and real world interaction senses.  This is
unfortunately one of those things.
