Instead of having them hidable (advertisers don't like that, so that option
is worth less $), we might think about having anon-only ads? Either way, you
can nuke them with FF and AdBlockPlus =D

what about enabling every single user to choose to have ads or not just 
modifying the monobook.js to made visible a div block?
