Further: attempting to kill a thread will lead to accusatons of trying
to suppress dissent. In the recent case (problems with Wikimania in
Egypt, which the people running the event were conspicuously absent
from), such accusations appeared justified. It's a really stupid thing
to do. Don't do that.
