Hello,
Following is a summary of the 2008 board elections for the week of
June 04 to 11. For detailed information on the elections, see

==Timeline==
* Voting is open from June 01¨C21 at 23:59 (UTC).
* Eligible voters can ask questions to candidates on
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Board_elections/2008/Candidates/Questions>.
==Email notification==
Emails were sent on June 05 and 06 to all eligible voters with a valid
address set (¡Ö21804 unique addresses). 46 users opted out of future
notification on
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_nomail_list>. The daily
number of voters increased significantly and returned to to the same
level four days later. Errors in a few translations led some
recipients to think they were being asked to be candidates, despite
the accompanying English text provided to prevent confusion in case of
error.
==Statistics==
The board elections are available in 20 languages (plus 24 incomplete
translations). 2205 valid votes (plus 182 votes replaced by a later
vote, and 4 votes struck by the committee). Vote statistics generated
