Actually, thousands of Israelis visit Egypt regularly, either Sinai, where  
the hotels and hash are both cheap, or the standard tourism venues of Cairo,  
Luxor, etc. It is considered an inexpensive vacation, though after Ras Burqa,  
Turkey really picked up. Many also go to the Delta, particularly people with  
family roots there, though there isn't quite a much to see (i.e., no pyramids  
and no funky beach huts)
