Hmmm, I did not say that with the idea in mind that we had NO 
responsibility, so perhaps the choice of words is not correct (I dunno 
which word to use though, co-organization ?). There certainly is a 
responsibility, but the WMF can not have FULL responsibility for the 
event, because it does not have full authority to decide of its 
location, program, etc...

However, my initial comment still stand. According to Mike, the only 
role of the Foundation is "to pay for the Conference". And that is one 
view I fully disagree with.
