Would be easy (for browsers that supply that information), but two problems:
* breaks caching => performance nightmare
* still needs JS when user resizes browser window
The JS call for rearranging could be called earlier (once the HTML is
there, and don't wait for the thumbnails to load), which would make
the rearranging (almost) invisible.
