It is possible to find bad reps about every country in the world. I
usually visit forums of expats living in the country I want to go to.
And usually they will be able to give you a clear picture. But then
again I went to Cambo in 1999 when they were still carrying guns
everywhere and shooting at eachother ........ Accrding to me the country
is now peacefull and quiet, google on Cambodia and you will find many
bad stories. Same with Egypt I feel.
