To set the record straight, it was *not* Kennisnet that launched 
WikiKids, but a group of voluntary individuals (see 
http://kennisnet.wikia.com/wikikids/wiki/Wikikids:Projectgroep).

This group is supported by Kennisnet, through hosting (with Wikia) and 
specialist advice, among other things.
