Except it's not clear at all. Do I cut and paste an event? Do I edit
the subpage?

What I want to do is cut'n'paste the press release as emailed to me.

(You can be sure that as organisations seeking publicity find this
queue, they'll just do that - they certainly won't learn a query
syntax.)
