None of the files I've uploaded so far have been even near this size.
Now, it seems clear to me that the Wikimedia Foundation wants to be
and should be a vector for useful educational content coming online.
Whether we should host it directly, host it using BitTorrent, or host
it in collaboration with an external partner is up to debate. Having a
serious offer of useful content helps to force the issue, so I
encourage you to take the lead in receiving this content and sending a
first evaluation to this very list.
My take is that we should collaborate with the Internet Archive on
hosting files above 100 MB, though we should still provide metadata
for the files as well.
