Strangely no. Moshe Katsav was a representative of Israel at that
point Sharon less so. Prime minister and head of state are two
different positions.

Israelis perhaps jews no. I understand there is a difference.

And we care what the Israeli press think because? If a few nasty
cartoons cause significant upset I would suggest the problem does not
reside with wikimedia.
