I agree wholeheartedly that this conversation had became far too
tense, and I can understand you feeling angry as a result of it.
However, my point was that the behaviour one would expect from a Board
member is higher than from other people. To a certain extent, yes, I
would expect you to "grin and bear it", especially when a lot of what
has been said against you could be viewed as constructive criticism.
I note that the only potential incivility I can see on Kelly's part
was describing the Board as incompetent and "like chickens", and this
came after those quotes of yours and Erik's whyich I mentioned in my
posting.
As for Danny, and him toning down, I don't see anything on his part in
his emails which constitutes anything more than criticism of the
Board's activities and questions about how it is conducting itself.
But I can understand how you could view that an attack on yourself, so
I am sorry for not noticing that before I made my last post.
Hopefully now people can move above the personal level and work
together to help make Wikimedia a better organisation.
